John McKeon

A lawyer in a past life, John is the Director of our foundation and his management expertise and enthusiasm is the driving force behind the success of our programs. John visits Cambodia several times each year, personally overseeing our programs, monitoring each budget and ensuring that Matesabroad maintains strong relationships within each community.

Katherine Zerounian

Katherine had the vision and compassion to inspire the formation of the Matesabroad Foundation. She is now an experienced educator who oversees a strong team of Australian and Cambodian teachers in the development and implementation of our schools program.

Lou McNamara                                                                                                  

Lou originally trained and worked as a teacher and is now an internationally accredited management system auditor and consultant. She monitors, assesses and reviews our programs to ensure that our money is being spent effectively, we are meeting our targets and that our systems are continually improving. 

Anne Nesbitt

An experienced teacher with an MBA from Boston College and a Graduate Diploma of Education from Macquarie University.  Anne is currently working as a Learning Support teacher.  Anne is passionate about community development and the professional development of our Cambodian teachers and has been instrumental in the commencement of our teach-the-teacher program.

Sue Dooley

A primary school vice principal with over 30 years’ experience. With her broad knowledge and wide ranging expertise Sue is the driving force behind the continual improvement of our education program.

Viv Rayner

Viv is a director of a well-respected website design company.  She has responsibility for our website and now provides ongoing management of our media and communications arm.

Anne McLeod

As well as being an experienced teacher, Annie is a talented semi-professional photographer and the creative force on the team! She looks after our social media platforms.

Annette Livesey

Annette is our resident travel agent. She oversees logistics ensuring the best available travel and accommodation advice for our volunteers.


In Cambodia

Mr. Vin Samea - Program Coordinator

Program CoordinatorSama is our in-country program coordinator. He has been instrumental in the successful development and implementation of our projects in Cambodia. He is an immensely capable and astute manager with a warmth and generosity of spirit that inspires those around him. He has a Masters of Development Management (MDM) and in addition holds a Bachelor of Information Technology (IT) in Network Administration.



Mrs. Im Dara - Program Manager: Education Project

Program ManagerDara assists Sama in the implementation of project activities, particularly on curriculum development, monitoring and supervising eleven teachers in five community schools in and around Phnom Penh.She has a Masters of Law from The Royal University of Law and Economics in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.




Mr Tan Samnang: Transport Manager

Samnang manages our in-country transport team. He is extremely efficient, organised and punctual with a “can-do” attitude.  Samnang’s standard response to any unexpected or difficult situation is always “no –problem”!.
